Description

IMPORTANT! This set allows you to build IMPERIAL WOLFEN LORD.

In the dark expanse of the 41st Millennium, where the thin veil between reality and the Warp is breached by acts of desperation and loyalty, legends are forged. Among the sagas sung by Space Wolves, one tale stands apart, whispered in reverence and fear-the tale of the Imperial Wolfen Lord.

Once, he was Hrothgar Stormclaw, a champion among the Wolves, known for his ferocity and unyielding spirit. He was a warrior whose loyalty to his Great Company was second only to his bond with his Prime. Hrothgar’s prowess in battle was matched only by his uncanny ability to track foes across the most treacherous terrain, and tales of his victories spread far across Fenris.

But fate would test Hrothgar in a way that no warrior could anticipate. In the heat of battle against a cabal of heretical sorcerers, his Jarl, the revered leader of their Great Company, was lured into the depths of the Warp through a rift torn open by dark incantations. The sight of his Jarl vanishing amidst the laughter of daemonic entities seared into Hrothgar’s mind like a brand. Without hesitation, he hurled himself into the Warp after his leader, his roar echoing with a promise of defiance.

Within the swirling madness of the Immaterium, time lost all meaning. Days, years, or even centuries twisted and contorted as Hrothgar stalked through the chaotic realm, his relentless pursuit transforming him. The essence of the Wolfen, the primal beast within every Space Wolf, began to consume him. His legs, once powerful tools of a hunter, were replaced by bionic prosthetics forged in the image of wolf paws, a manifestation of the duality of man and machine shaped by the Warp’s capricious touch. His left arm mutated into a lupine limb with razor-sharp claws, a testament to his feral nature.

The armor that once protected him shattered over countless skirmishes with daemons and other lost souls. He reforged and replaced parts of it with scraps infused with runes, etched by instinct and whispered secrets caught in the winds of the Warp. His once-proud warplate became a patchwork of ancient power and feral resilience, adorned with bones of fallen foes and rune-etched stones that pulsed with an eerie glow. In his right hand he wielded a rune-inscribed sword, now covered in cracks and chips, resonating with latent energy.

Through it all, Hrothgar’s will remained unbroken. His transformation was complete-no longer just a warrior, but an avatar of savage strength and sacred duty, embodying the legend of the Wolfen. He emerged from the Warp at last, scarred and altered, but victorious. Tales spoke of the feral figure that stalked from the rift, eyes aglow with primal fury, an unnatural blend of steel and spirit.

Now known as the Imperial Wolfen Lord, he commands fear and awe in equal measure. His presence on the battlefield is a harbinger of relentless might, a symbol that loyalty to the Wolves transcends even the boundaries of reality. With each battle, the runes on his armor pulse, as if echoing the heartbeat of Fenris itself, and the bones clatter with the fury of forgotten battles.

Hrothgar Stormclaw’s story is no mere tale but a testament to the spirit that defines the Space Wolves-unyielding, bound to their kin, and undaunted by the shadow of the Warp.

PREPARATION

1. Check

Firstly, check out all the details whether there are no missing or miscast parts.
If you have problems with details – please contact us.

Then, prepare warm water and clean each part with an old toothbrush and a dishwashing liquid to remove any excess mould release agent which may still be on the surface of the parts.
Please leave the parts to soak for a while before scrubbing if they feel very greasy.
We highly recommend not skipping this step!
Any mould release agent left on the model may prevent the primer from adhering to the model.

2. Casting Gates

The casting gates can be removed with a pair of clippers. Use a sanding pad, modelling knife or model file to clean off any excess.
In case gates are too large for the clippers, use a razor saw or piercing saw.

3. Mould Lines

Resin components are cast into silicone moulds that have split lines.
Sometimes, there may be slight lines on the model that shows where the mould joins together.
In that case, you should remove them so that they don’t show up after painting.
Please use a modelling knife or a file to carefully scrape or file away the line.
Then a smooth surface with some fine sandpaper if it’s necessary.

4. Warped Parts and Repositioning

Sometimes thinner parts could be slightly bent or twisted.
You can easily fix that by immersing the piece in hot water or by applying heat from a hairdryer.
The piece should reform to its original shape by itself.
If not, gently twist the piece back into position.
The amount of heat that needs to be applied is often determined by the thickness of the parts. Thicker parts need to be heated for a longer time.
This technique can also be used to bend some parts into shapes and positions to pose models.
